Welcome to the Community Climate Funding Guide

We are pleased to announce the release of the new Community Climate Funding Guide. This guide is the culmination of months of work from a dedicated and passionate team. Through the course of engagement with communities we have been aware for a while that the funding landscape can be a challenge to navigate. Our hope is that this guide will help with that to a certain extent by providing detailed search capability, tools and resources, and a place to get a quick look at upcoming deadlines.

We have to start by thanking the community members, funding agencies, our design and technical teams that have provided their feedback, skills and expertise along the way. Without their contribution this guide would not have been possible. We have captured funding opportunities in clean energy, community infrastructure, climate preparedness and adaptation and sustainable transportation to support community climate action. This includes funds through the provincial and federal government, private sector, trusts and other agencies.

If you are wondering where to start there are a few tools we would like to point out. The Funding Finder Tool will walk you through a series of questions to help identify funding programs that may be relevant to the project you are considering. This tools is good if you are in the early stages of your project development and want to get a sense of what is out there. The Search Tool allows you to narrow results depending on your interests and keywords. The Deadline Tracker shows all upcoming deadlines for the next 12 months and highlights programs that are always accepting applications (continuous intakes).
