We also partner with academic institutions, non-profit groups and other organizations working to advance research and climate action initiatives that contribute to BC’s transition to a lower carbon future.

Description of Funding

Funding through FortisBC’s Climate Action Partners program is determined on a case‑by‑case basis and varies depending on the scope, objectives, and readiness of the proposed initiative. Support may be provided for a specific climate action project or to fund a dedicated staff position (such as a community energy or climate specialist) that advances local climate action goals. Funding levels, duration, and eligible activities are established collaboratively with FortisBC and are not subject to fixed minimum or maximum project amounts.
