The Fraser Basin Council (FBC) is working with First Nations communities in B.C. to transition towards energy efficient housing, both for new construction and existing housing retrofits. The First Nations Home EnergySave program supports peer learning, community training, and shares success stories among First Nations communities to reduce home energy use and build local capacity.

Description of Funding

Funding is limited but sometimes available for pilot projects, community education and staff training on retrofits and new construction; please contact Fraser Basin Council for details.

 

We also offer small financial grants to BC Indigenous residents to assist them in advancing their education or career development. Each Indigenous student can receive up to $1,000 in funding to support energy efficiency-focused learning opportunities.
