This is a regional program and only supports communities in its service area.
(See the Map)Do you have a small-scale project, that can be completed in two years or less, that helps improve ecological health and native biodiversity in the Basin? Small-scale Ecosystem grants are available to enhance a terrestrial and/or aquatic ecosystem, such as wetlands, fish habitat, forests or grasslands.
Eligible projects address at least one of the following objectives:
- restore or conserve a terrestrial and/or aquatic ecosystem, such as wetlands, fish habitat, forests or grasslands;
- conserve a species of conservation concern; or
- reduce the threat of significant invasive species to a terrestrial and/or aquatic ecosystems

Eligible applicants include local governments and First Nations in the Columbia Basin Trust region.

Applicants operating outside the Basin must partner with community-based organizations operating within the region and must show that the project benefits the Basin.

Description of Funding
The typical maximum amount of Trust funding for any one project is $80,000.
Percentage of Project Funded
80%Up to 80% of total project costs can be requested from the Trust.
