The Energy Conservation Assistance Program (ECAP) is a  free program available to First Nations communities. This program provides community members with a free home energy evaluation to help them understand their energy use, the installation of energy-saving products and advice. Some homes may also qualify for a free ENERGY STAR® refrigerator; insulation in walls, attics and/or crawlspaces. To qualify, the homes must be heated by natural gas from FortisBC or electricity from FortisBC or BC Hydro.
