Government of CanadaThe CleanBC Better Buildings program helps businesses and other organizations save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. There are several incentive offers available in the program, including those that support replacing fossil fuel (i.e. oil, propane, or natural gas) heating systems with electric heat pump systems, upgrading to high-efficiency natural gas equipment, and installing improved windows, doors and insulation that minimize heat loss.
Better Buildings is jointly funded by the Province and the Government of Canada under the Low Carbon Economy Fund. Program offers are administered by BC Hydro.

Description of Funding
Better Buildings retrofit incentive offerings provide up to $20,000 for an energy study, and up to $200,000 for a commercial, institutional, or social housing building to switch to high-efficiency heating equipment or make building envelope improvements.
Clean BC Better Buildings New Construction incentive offerings provide up to $15,000 for an energy study, and up to $500,000 for a commercial building to electrify its space and water heating systems.
